Farmers in the Kilmacthomas, Comeragh and wider Waterford area are being reminded to keep an eye on their MyAgFood.ie accounts for 2026 scheme correspondence, including Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) preliminary check notices and Area Monitoring System (AMS) notifications.

CAP Network Ireland has advised that approximately 4,600 herds are due to receive preliminary check notifications relating to issues such as over-claims, overlaps or dual claims. Where a farmer or advisor receives one of these notices, CAP Network Ireland says the response should be made through MyAgFood.ie by 22 June 2026.

AMS notifications are also due to begin from 24 June 2026 for a minority of farmers. Where an AMS notification is issued, the farmer has 14 days from the date of notification to respond.

Notice typeWhat farmers should checkTiming
BISS preliminary checkCorrespondence on MyAgFood.ie for over-claims, overlaps or dual claimsResponse requested by 22 June 2026 where a notice issues

Local relevance

This is a national scheme notice, but it is practical for local farmers because any farmer in Waterford who receives a notification may need to act within the relevant timeframe. Farmers who use an agricultural advisor should also check whether their advisor has received or reviewed any related correspondence.

This article is provided as a local reminder only. Farmers should rely on the official notice in their own MyAgFood.ie account and seek professional advice where needed.
